Hello!

I have always had a deep love for writing and story telling. At a young age, I would write my own books and draw the illustrations for them. As I grew up, this love for written and visual literacy only grew.

After receiving my high school diploma, I chose to attend Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) with absolutely no clue as to what I wanted to do with my life. I registered for an introductory communications course and felt an instant connection with this field. My skills in writing and storytelling worked hand in hand for me to excel and succeed. After graduating from HACC with an associate's degree in general studies, I was prepared to attend a university and discover what I wanted to do with my life.

All of these paths that I have wandered down lead to me to Shippensburg University (SHIP). I knew I wanted to be in the communication, media and journalism department and was excited to start my junior year of college. Once I moved to SHIP, I dove head first into all the student media groups on campus.

 

I tested the waters to see where I fit best and found a home with the campus radio station, WSYC 88.7 FM, and the PRSSA chapter at SHIP. I became the Business Director for WSYC 88.7 FM my senior year of college and enjoyed helping the WSYC station run smoothly, so the DJs could tell their stories on air. Also, I worked on numerous client groups with PRSSA and I enjoyed telling stories for these organizations too.

As my time at SHIP comes to a close, I am thankful for the stories I have been able to tell. Although, I am waiting for my story to truly begin. I want to continue helping other organizations, non-profits and individuals share their stories with the public, through written and visual media.
